FLASH FICTION GHANA WRITING WORKSHOPS

Flash Fiction Ghana has put together a series of workshops intended to support Ghanaian writers better their writing skills.

The aim of the workshop is to provide contemporary Ghanaian writers the necessary information and guidance to help sharpen their skills and set them up for a more global standard and appeal.

For our inaugural workshops, focus will be on the genre of Fiction  and we encourage contemporary writers to apply for the two day workshop that will  have facilitators take participants through (i)Developing and Perfecting an Idea and (ii)Effective Execution of Ideas.

The workshops will be facilitated by Martin Egblewogbe and Ama Asantewa Diaka.

The two day workshop will run from the 19th to 20th of June 2021.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for this workshop;

  • Send a 1500 word sample of your work. Sample could be a complete story or an excerpt of a work in progress. However, applicants are encouraged to send in their best samples to enable selection for this workshop. Excerpt should be sent in as PDF.
  • A short biography. Biography sent should include your age, academic history and literary journey. It should also include the genres of writing you write in or are interested in exploring. The bio should be not more than 150 words long.
  • A short motivation letter. In the motivation letter, tell us why you are interested in participating in this workshop and how it would help develop. Feel free to include areas in which your writing needs improvement if necessary. The motivation letter should be not more than 500 words long.

Deadline for Application is the 1st of June, 2021.

Successful applicants will be notified by the 10th of June 2021.
